Amazingly, only 7% of Indian children graduate from High School. India is a land of incredible inequality despite enjoying one of world’s largest economies.

Yet, new media is being touted as a way of helping people progress. The latest innovation is an incredibly cheap tablet, costing 40 dollars. With further government subsidies, the tablet represents quite an affordable piece of technology and it could potentially help close the digital divide.
